PROLOGUE

The main intention of all Extracurricular outdoor events have organized by Prof. Dr. Johnny Kim all by himself is to provide international students with the opportunity to experience and learn firsthand the cross-cultural differences and society of each country through exchanges with the culture and locals of the country they are visiting, and to promote foreign tourism and foreign policy, history, economy, international relations, regions, as well as role in society and culture to learn and empathize.

Prof.Dr. Johnny Kim explained that Extracurricular Activities help students’ mental health. Both self-esteem and a sense of belonging contribute to more general benefits involving mental and psychosocial health. One study found that adolescents who participated in extracurricular activities demonstrated higher levels of satisfaction with life and optimism and lower levels of anxiety and depressive symptoms.

According to Prof. Dr. Johnny Kim’s experiences, he said Students who participate in extra activities get better grades. This is because of the skills they learn from participating in different activities. Students learn to manage time, organizational skills and improved self-confidence. Students also learn to express themselves in a better way.

Extracurricular activities have greater academic success, greater character development, especially in the areas of time-management and leadership skills, more positive social development, and greater interest in community involvement. Prof. Dr. Johnny Kim added after his long-term experiences of organization.

Prof. Dr. Johnny Kim emphasized that the importance of extracurricular activities cannot be overemphasized.  He strongly explained that the universities  have their responsibilities to provide several places for obtaining good outdoor-experiences out of the indoor classrooms. Therefore, all universities have to do plan, do organize and do offer for their students who still lack intercontinental cultural contact and a real sense of future business, an opportunity to gain experience outside of the classroom.

That’s the main reason that Prof. Dr. Johnny Kim cannot stop his activity, to organize several extracurricular activities each semester, each year for his students, not only nationwide in Switzerland and European countries, but also cross-cultural different countries in Asia.

“Shall we go back to the Past! Enjoy!

Sending my tighten hugs to all my favorite students. Best wishes from Prof.Dr.Johnny KIM.”

Extracurricular Activities Are Beneficial to Your university memory

There are a few reasons why Asia Study Tour, Extracurricular Activities and Outdoor Events are beneficial to your education study tour and outdoor activity abroad.

Cultural Integration

Many international students may experience culture shock when they first arrive in a new country. Getting involved in extracurricular activities can help students overcome this feeling. You will be introduced to cultural experiences that the typical classroom environment may not provide.

Social Skills

It can often be a challenge for international students to build relationships when moving to a new place. Getting involved in activities outside of school can help international students meet new people with whom they share interests. You will improve your social skills as a result.

Extracurricular activities also help students expand their networks, which is beneficial for finding career opportunities after graduation. For example, if you join an environmental group at school, your peers might go on to work for environmental organizations. In the future, you could use one of those colleagues as a reference when you apply for a job in that field.

Building Your Résumé

Participating in extracurricular activities is a superb résumé-builder. There are multiple reasons why:

  • It tells the employer a story of who you are and what causes you care about.
  • In conjunction with good grades, it can prove you have effective time-management skills.
  • It shows that you are successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • It can set you apart from a stack of résumés that primarily list academic achievements.

Extracurricular activities can add more personality to a résumé and improve the quality of the student’s overall job application. An employer might be more inclined to request an interview. This means that you showed initiative to go “above and beyond.” It means that you have some communications experience that might become relevant to the position.

Earning Career Experience

Extracurricular activities can equip you with the skills you need to succeed after you graduate.

These include:

  • Leadership skills
  • Teamwork
  • Time management
  • Communications skills
  • Interviewing skills
  • Office environment flexibility

Employers might expect recent grads to have some work experience, any outstanding extracurricular study  field tour  before entering the job market. Although there are some limitations about what you can pursue on a student visa, you might be able to complete an internship or work-study assignment. Any of these options can increase your chances of getting an entry-level position out of school.

Final Thoughts

Although you probably already participate in activities outside of school, take the time to think about the benefits of extracurricular activities and how to maximise your passions. The lessons you’ll learn from participating in meaningful extracurricular activities will surely help you with everything from getting a job, to applying to universities overseas, to just living your life. So go and join at your interested Extracurricular activities.

“Shall we go back to the Past! Enjoy!

Sending my tighten hugs to all my favorite students who have shared unforgettable experiences snd happy memories. You all are in my thoughts and heart forever!

Best wishes from Prof. Dr. Johnny KIM.”
