In addition, we are looking for individuals who are mature, motivated, focused and wish to make a positive impact on business and society. Candidates must satisfy the following entry requirements for the Doctorate / DBA / Ph.D. program.
Applicants who obtained your degrees from Universities / Business School other than SGSB Business School should submit original official transcripts after they are offered a place in the SGSB Doctorate as DBA or Ph.D. program. All documents must be in English or accompanied by certified copies of the English translated version.
Good Bachelor / Master Degree:
Applicants must have a strong academic record in any undergraduate field from a reputable academic institution.
Passport Copy:
Scanned copy of valid passport.
Passport Size Photo:
Scanned photo, passport size.
TOEFL / IELTS:
Applicants who obtained their degrees from universities or Business School where were not based in USA or UK must submit certified Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score sheets. IELTS is acceptable. Applicants either submit TOEFL or IELTS.
All applicants are required to take and submit your current English test score (such as IELTS or TOEFL) for admissions consideration, regardless of your academic or professional background. As we consider candidates’ profile holistically, a high score does not guarantee admission, and a lower score may not eliminate a candidate. Scores may be self-reported; should you receive an offer of admission; official scores will then be requested for verification. You are required to indicate your TOEFL / IELTS indicate as results in the application form.
Applicants whose undergraduate degree are required to submit TOEFL / IELTS scores.
GRE / GMAT:
All applicants should submit either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) OR Graduate Records Examination (GRE) scores. The tests must have been taken within 5 years before the proposed date of admission. GATE results from India and similar tests are generally NOT accepted for admission to the school of business.
Referee Reports:
Two professional referee reports are required to complete your application. The referees can be your current employer, previous employer or corporate client, who would be able to provide an accurate professional evaluation for you. Both referee reports have to be submitted within the application deadlines for the application to be considered complete.
Interview:
Short-listed applicants will be interviewed and may be required to take further evaluation tests if deemed necessary. Applicants will typically be interviewed. The interviewers will assess the conceptual and analytical abilities, and English language proficiency through written essays and conversation.
Scholarships:
We offer various merit-based scholarships for outstanding candidates. To be considered for a scholarship, fill in the scholarship essay question in the online application form, and submit your completed application by Mid-January 2023. No separate application is required. Scholarship decisions are announced in mid-July each year.
