Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) was founded in 1970 and is one of the major multidisciplinary and professional universities in the same district of Paris. The main campus is located just 20 minutes from the metro from the center of the French capital. There are currently over 38,000 students.
With a diverse community of over 130 nationalities, UPEC invests heavily in encouraging international exchanges and increasing the mobility of students, staff, and faculty. Each year, the university welcomes over 3,700 international students and about 50 foreign visiting lecturers and researchers.
