  1. Seoul Special City has a land area of 234 square miles (605 square kilometers). The capitalโ€™s estimated population was 10 million residents in 2016.
  2. During 2015, the Seoul-Incheon metropolitan area had a population of 25.6 million people living over a more extensive land area measuring 23,575 square miles (9,102 square kilometers).
  3. At the country level, South Korean land territory covers 37,421 square miles (96,920 square kilometers). The national population was 50.9 million inhabitants as of July 2016.
  4. South Korea won its independence from Japan on August 15, 1945. South Koreans celebrate Liberation Day each August 15 as a national public holiday.
  5. Population density in Seoul special city is more concentrated at about 42,700 residents per square mile (16,500 per square kilometer).
  6. Density within the larger Seoul-Incheon metropolitan area averages 23,600 residents per square mile (9,100 per square kilometer).
  7. For South Korea overall, population density drops significantly to an average 1,361 Koreans per square mile (525 per square kilometer).

In Seoul and outskirts, we will visit most of top global leading companies in Korea; Korea’s swift transformation into one of the world’s leading economies has made it an interesting case study for people from around the world. Step on in it’s development was developing heavy industry, and although knowledge industries are growing at a fast pace, Korea is still dominating the steel and ship building industries worldwide. As we are Business School students, we are interesting in knowing about the industrial face of South Korea, there are a variety of companies that offer tours of their facilities, Samsung, Hyundai, LG, etc. and cultural experiences will be performed and shared.

Shanghai boasts a city proper population of 24 million people as of 2014 and is continually on the rise. Shanghai’s many districts and extensive metro service are necessary to keep this thriving city running each day.
  2. Shanghai Is a World Finance and Cultural Center. The city has seen a constant rate of growth and is the center for many international companies working within China. It has also become a hub of culture with notoriety in fashion, art, and design.
  3. Shanghai Is a Transportation Powerhouse. The longest metro system in the world spreads beneath the city of Shanghai with 365 miles (588 km) of tunnels and track. The Shanghai metro has 364 stations spread throughout the city and connecting major attractions, making it easy to navigate for international visitors. Shanghai boasts the world’s fastest train.  Shanghai’s Pudong and Hongqiao international airports are also powerhouses of transportation, servicing 70 million passengers annually.
